Privacy Policy – Café com Água

This Privacy Policy describes how the "Café com Água" application ("App", "we", "our") collects, uses and protects the information of users ("you").

By using our App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.


1. Data Stored on Your Device (Locally)

Café com Água was designed to prioritize your privacy. All data you actively generate in the app is stored exclusively in your device's local database.

1.1. Backup and Restore

The App offers "Backup" and "Restore" functions. When using "Backup", you create a file with your local data (evaluations, recipes) which is saved to a location of your choice (such as your Google Drive or device storage). The security and management of this backup file is your sole responsibility. We do not have access to this file unless you use it in the "Restore" function.


2. Camera and Text Recognition

The App may request access to your device's Camera to use text recognition features (through Google ML Kit technology).

Important: All image processing and text reading is performed locally, on your own device. No captured image or text read by your camera is sent to our servers, stored externally, or shared with third parties by us.


3. Data Collected by Third-Party Services

To operate, analyze and monetize the App, we use third-party services that may collect information. These services have their own privacy policies.

Some of the third-party services mentioned above (Google, Singular and Meta) may process data on servers located outside of Brazil, including in the United States. Such transfers comply with the safeguards provided by the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law).


4. Ad Consent (GDPR and US Regulations)

We take your privacy and your choices seriously. To comply with international privacy regulations, such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and US state laws (such as California's CPRA), we implement the following flow:

When using the App for the first time in an applicable region, you will see a consent screen (provided by Google's User Messaging Platform - UMP). This screen will explain how data is used for ads and give you the options to:

You have the right to change or revoke your consent at any time, as easily as you provided it.

To manage your consent preferences, simply navigate within our App to: Settings > Privacy > Manage Ad Consent

By selecting this option, the original consent screen will be displayed again, allowing you to update your choices.

Note: If you do not consent to personalized ads, you may still see ads, but they will be generic (non-personalized) and may be less relevant to you.


5. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take the necessary steps to remove it.


6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will indicate when the latest revisions were made.
